Kia Kaha
Kia Kaha is a resource kit about bullying for students, teachers, parents, and caregivers, produced by the New Zealand Police Law Related Education Programme. It is designed for use in primary, intermediate and junior secondary schools.
The aim of the kit is to help students, teachers, parents and caregivers develop skills and strategies to identify and stop bullying and replace it with acceptable behviour.
The kit includes the "Kia Kaha" video, a Teaching Guide, and a pamphlet for parents and caregivers.
The Teaching Guide includes guidelines for schools to create an environment safe from bullying, classroom activities, copysheets, and a list of School Journals containing stories about bullying.
Copies of the kit are available from your local police education officer.
